Strengthening Collaboration for a Sustainable Future

Beirut, Thursday 23 January 2025 – The Lebanese American University (LAU) and the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) officially signed a strategic partnership agreement in a signing ceremony held at Beirut Campus. This groundbreaking collaboration aims to promote innovation, enhance knowledge exchange, and promote sustainable development within the financial and educational sectors across the Arab world.

The agreement outlines a shared vision to develop specialized training programs, conduct joint research initiatives, and organize impactful conferences and events. By combining LAU's academic expertise and UAB's vast network of industry leaders, the partnership is set to create new opportunities for students, professionals, and institutions throughout the region.

Speaking at the ceremony, LAU President Dr. Chaouki T. Abdallah, Mr. Wissam H. Fattouh, Secretary-General of UAB, and Mr. Suleiman Barada. This agreement reaffirms LAU's and UAB's shared dedication to empowering communities and driving meaningful impact across the Arab world and marks a new chapter in bridging the gap between academia and the banking sector.
